Vincenta
Casañ
was born in Valencia-Spain in 1972. She studied Fine Arts and received
a BA from Polytechnic University of Valencia in 1996. Vicenta studied
at the Joan i Pilar Miro Foundation in Palma de Mallorca and also
took lithography courses with artist Don Herbert (Arteleku) S. Sebastian.
In 2001,Vicenta participated in a group exhibition* organized by the
Art al Rec Gallery from Barcelona at Centro Cultural Español
in Miami and was given a grant from Ministerio de Cultura y Educacion
of Spain to travel to Miami. In 2000 she recived an award from The
Chamber of Comerce of Spain in Paris. Also selected for Public Arts
Installation of University Valencia-Spain with her project "People
observing People". She then worked with Consorcio de Museos in
a group exhibition " Woman of two sides, Sao Paulo-Valencia"
at La Beneficencia Cultural Center, in 2000 and also in the solo show*
at Cite Internationale Universitaire of Paris in 1999. Vicenta had
a solo exhibition at La Beneficencia Cultural Center Valencia in 2000,
and Renfe in 1999. Vicenta participated in exhibitions at Luis Adelantado
Gallery and Observatori 2000 International Festival of Artistic Investigation
in Valencia. In 1998 she received the award "Circuit d'art Jove".
Presently, she is the recipient of the grant Art Visual from Direccion
General de Promocion Cultural de Valencia to develop her projects
in Art Center South Florida. |
