Sharks
In The Morning
It’s your choice and the pickin’s aren’t slim. Outstanding group
show at the Daniel Azoulay Gallery, Design District. On view will
be the works of international artist, monumental landscapes, jewel
like still life’s and portraits reminiscent of the Dutch Master
Paintings, and contemporary works employing color and juxtaposing
the mundane and the peculiar in narrative and documentary fashion;
intoxicating and profound pieces that will fill your morning appetite.
On view will be the works of David Levinthal, renowned photography
of the essential moments in life, traveled extensively documenting
civilizations. Victor Vazquez, confronting the viewer with mythological,
ritualistic, and stoic figures and still life’s: his anthropological
perspective to his personal pantheon. Additionally the sexually
potent and dualistically inspired images of Frederick Nakache throw
psychological connotations of childhood and adult regression in
a visually saturated color pallet at the viewer. Projection room
will be screening intimate, parodied images or Renata Poljak’s underwater
domestic monotony.
